PADI DSD Leader

Service Description

Upgrade your PADI Divemaster rating to Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) Leader and get qualified to teach the PADI DSD sessions without an instructor in confined environments. During your DSD Leader internship you'll conduct four separate real (not simulated) PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs in confined water under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor. PADI DSD Leader interns must show their ability to conduct effective briefings, in-water supervision, exemplary demonstration skills and debriefings with non-certified divers. Through direct feedback and knowledge assessment we'll ensure you're setup for success come the end of your internship. DSD Leaders are highly sought in dive resort locations across the world and every DM should aim to complete this upgrade or consider moving up to AI/OWSI. As all our dives are conducted in the sea you must hold the PADI Drysuit diver certification prior to your internship starting. If you don't already have this then we can do this in a day. Our internship includes: - 1 x DM skills review session and practice DSD - 1 x DSD Session Knowledge Development Session - DSD Leader Knowledge Assessment - 4 x Real DSD Sessions (minimum) - Direct coaching from our PADI MSDT Excluded: - Air fills and kit (available for hire) You must be able to commute to or live on the Isle of Arran for this internship due to the time scale of guaranteeing live DSD's across the season. Cancellations by us: We’ll always look to reschedule in the first instance, credit for another date or offer a refund (minus transaction and course material fees). Dive Arran Ltd will not be liable for any other associated costs you may have incurred such as but not limited to accommodation or travel. Cancellations by you: You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance. We’ll reschedule your activity but if we can’t then we’re always happy to refund you (minus transaction and course material fees). Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given by you then we reserve the right to retain your complete activity payment. Additional Fee's: If you are unable to complete your course in the designated time we reserve the right to add additional teaching and equipment fee's. Lost/damaged equipment will be charged.
