About the Course
Have you always wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you.
Unlike most other dive operators we run this program from one of our beautiful beaches where you get a true experience of what our sea's have to offer. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health. Are you ready to try it out?

What you'll learn
You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. If you make an open water dive, you'll practice a few more skills in shallow water to prepare for your adventure. Get ready to:
Use scuba equipment to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater.
Course Prerequisites
Must be at least 15 years old. Due to our location and sites used we cannot currently enrol anyone under this age onto most of our courses. Please speak to us about alternative options for younger divers.
You need adequate swimming skills and comfort in the water. No prior experience is required.
Equipment & Extra Cost
We'll provide all the basic scuba gear you'll use including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive gauges and a tank.
Depending upon the location and time of year we may also provide a Dry Suit.
After the course...
Did you get the diving bug after doing this course? Your next step is to get certified as a PADI Open Water Diver which allows you to dive to 18m with a certified buddy. This is perfect for you if you want to dive on holiday or start discovering what the UK waters have to offer.
Tight on time or don't plan to dive without a PADI Pro? The PADI Scuba Diver course could be perfect for you! This allows you to dive to 12m under the direct supervision of a PADI Pro - great for holidays anywhere in the world!
Medical Requirements
Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Certain health conditions, medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a doctor before diving.
Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a doctor’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course. You can find this on the About page of our website under 'key info'. Only medical professionals can give clearance to dive. In the case of the UK this is a specialist area and you may need to speak to a HSE Approved Medical Examiners of Divers (AMEDs)
